Description
The Globe is a house that has been converted into a public house. It dates from the late 17th century and was altered in the late 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with freestone dressings and quoins. It features a 20th-century tiled roof, which has a mansard design over the right side, set behind a parapet and moulded cornice. The left side has two storeys, while the right side has two storeys and attics with three dormers. The facade includes two plus three windows, which are glazing bar sash windows; the far right windows are tripartite sashes. On the first floor to the left, there are two-light casements with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds. A 20th-century door is located under a hood on the left side.
