Description
This outbuilding, located opposite and 40 yards south of The Old Rectory, was originally part of Sir John Harington's manor and is now used as a workshop. It dates from the late 16th century to the early 17th century and was repaired in 1981. The structure is built of coursed rubble with freestone dressings and features a pantile roof with coped and moulded gables. The south gable end includes two-light casement windows with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, set under relieving arches, along with a cross-loop window in the gable. To the left, there is a plank door framed in a chamfered and four-centre headed surround. The west elevation has two additional two-light windows.
