Description
35 Thomas Street is a house built around 1830. It features limestone ashlar, with the ground floor painted and a roof that is hidden from view. The building has a double depth plan with a central entrance and stands three storeys tall with a five-window front. The second and fourth bays are blind, except for the ground floor of the fourth bay, which has lateral bars in the masonry and remnants of trompe l'oeil glazing bars. There is a platband at the first floor level, and the windows are six-over-six sash types set in plain recesses. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with a rectangular light above, all within a plain recessed opening. The house also has a plat band, cornice, parapet, and ridge stacks at both ends. The side elevation is rendered, while the rear elevation has not been inspected.
