Description
Chapel Cottage is a cottage built in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble with freestone dressings and quoins. The roof is tiled from the 20th century, featuring coped raised verges and a stepped coped ashlar parapet at the ends, along with later brick stacks. The cottage is designed in a Gothick revival style and has two storeys with two bays. It features large pane sash windows from the 19th century, which are set in ashlar surrounds with depressed ogee heads, and there is a cill band beneath the first floor. To the right, there is a 20th-century door located in a doorcase that has plain columns with square capitals and is topped with an ogee head.
