Description
Upper Farmhouse is a vernacular farmhouse dating from the mid- to late 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The construction is of rubble with freestone dressings, with some areas pebble-dashed and a 20th-century tiled roof with coped raised verges. The farmhouse is L-shaped and two storeys high. The south elevation features a three-light casement window with ovolo-moulded mullions and surrounds, and a dripmould above. A 20th-century porch has been added to the re-entrant angle. The east elevation includes a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor, and a 17th-century casement window above. A single-storey extension to the east has a two-light casement with ovolo-moulded surrounds. The rear elevations feature two- and three-light casement windows. The west elevation has two gables, and the north elevation has one gable.
