Description

This is a small house located within a row of buildings. It dates from the late 18th century, although the front facade was rebuilt in the 20th century. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar with a slate roof. The exterior features three storeys and a basement, with a single bay. It has twelve-pane sash windows in plain reveals, and a splayed surround to the basement window which includes a pavement grille. A panelled door is situated on the right-hand side. A band is present above the first floor, along with a moulded cornice, blocking course, and parapet. A deep and lofty ashlar stack, made of limestone, is located on the left and is shared with the adjacent property at number 4. The interior has not been inspected, but the masonry on the left side is linked to that of Number 4, and some trim extends across both properties. However, the facade appears to be a modern replacement.
