Description
Hamleaze is a detached house built in the late 18th century, with early 19th-century additions. It features colourwashed render, a pantile roof, and rendered end stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and is two stories tall with a symmetrical front that includes a three-window range. The ground floor has two projecting bays flanking a central projecting porch, while the first floor has three windows. All windows were originally plate-glass sashes but have been replaced with 20th-century units. The bays support a first-floor ironwork verandah with four columns and wooden balustrading. The porch has a two-leaf glazed door set in a round-headed opening; the inner door has two lower moulded panels and a glazed upper section with margin glazing. The interior is not accessible. The 1975 listing notes the presence of 1/1 sashes.
