Description

The Turnpike Parish Boundary Marker at White Rose Cottage is a cast iron post dated 1823, standing 0.5 metres high. It features bevelled sides and a coved top. The left-hand side displays the lettering 'TE/W.HART/PH', indicating West Harptree Parish, while the right-hand side shows 'NN/C.MART/PH', representing Compton Martin Parish. Additionally, 'BRISTOL TURNPIKE TRUST' is inscribed down the centre spine of the marker.
