Description

This is a mid to late 15th-century barn, converted into a house in the 1980s. Originally a three-bay barn, it now has a modern brick plinth and external weatherboarding. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, with gablets. Modern casement windows have been installed, along with full-height windows in the middle section. A purpose-built brick and glazed porch with a tiled roof has been added to the east side.

The interior retains several original features, including two crown posts, each with a foot brace, massive jowled posts with curved braces, and some diagonal braces. The purlins are intact but the roof is boarded with pine. The western part of the barn retains the original hay loft, while the eastern part has an inserted floor.
