Description

This is a timber-framed farmhouse, likely dating from the 16th century, that has been divided into four cottages. The exterior is characterized by plaster infilling between the timber framing. The roof is covered with Horsham slabs. The south wing (number 42) retains two original windows on the first floor, featuring diamond-shaped panes, alongside a tile-hung gable. The central section (number 44) displays an overhanging gable with a moulded bressumer, barge boards, and curved brackets. The north wing (number 46 and 48) includes a small two-story projection with a gable and curved braces on the first floor. Number 48 also has an original oriel window projecting on brackets, also with diamond panes, although a modern tiled canopy has been added above it.
