Description
61, 63, and 65 High Street is an early 16th-century timber-framed building featuring a fully jettied first floor. The ground floor has been refaced with a type of imitation linenfold panelling in wood, set on a base of flint and brick. The first floor is close-studded with plaster infilling and overhangs on the protruding ends of the floor joists, supported by a moulded bressummer and brackets. The building has a hipped tiled roof. Modern casement windows have been installed, while the southeast end retains an early 19th-century shop window with small square panes and intact glazing bars. There are also two small modern shop windows to the northwest.
