Description
The Old Cottage is a 17th-century building located on the south-west side of Steyning High Street. Originally a forge, it features a medieval timber frame with plaster infilling and curved braces on the first floor, resting on a base made of brick, flints, and rubble. The roof is tiled, and there are horizontally-sliding sash windows on the first floor, with modern casements below. The building has two storeys and three windows in total.
