Description
The Fountain Inn is an L-shaped building located in Ashurst. The east wing dates from the 17th century or earlier and is timber-framed, though it is currently faced with cement on the ground floor and features tile-hanging. It has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof and two chimney breasts on the south wall. This section has two storeys and three windows. The north wing, built in the early 19th century, is made of painted brick and has a slate roof. It features sash windows with intact glazing bars and also has two storeys with two windows.
