Description

The Chequers Inn is a timber-framed building, likely dating back to the medieval period, which was refaced with brick in the 18th century and is now painted. It features a modillion cornice and a parapet, along with a tiled roof. The glazing bars are intact, and there is a three-light bay window at each end of the front on both floors. The porch has a flat head and a modillion cornice, and the double doors consist of six fielded panels.
