Description

No. 53 High Street is a medieval timber-framed building that was refaced with brick in the 18th century and is now painted. It features a parapet and a slate roof. The first floor retains its glazing bars, while the two large bays on the ground floor have missing glazing bars in their lower halves. There is a doorway between the bays that is adorned with fluted columns, a pediment, a semi-circular fanlight, and a door with six fielded panels. Inside, the building has a crown post roof.
