Description

These are two early 19th-century cottages, originally built as a group of seven windows, and now numbered 1 to 6 along Steyning High Street. The cottages have flint walls with red brick detailing and quoins, and a tiled roof. The original windows retain their glazing bars. Number 1 has a later 19th-century addition: an extra storey that projects outwards on the west front, supported by brackets, featuring an oriel window and a gable above.
