Description
Nos 23 and 25 Westgate are a pair of 18th-century cottages located next to No 21. They project slightly further forward but have a much lower frontage. The cottages feature a tiled gabled roof with a modern stack at the back. They are constructed of brick, with No 25 being painted over. The buildings are two storeys high, each with one window at both the upper and lower levels. The windows are sash types with flush boxes, with the upper windows set in flat arches and the lower windows in segmental arches. The glazing bars are intact, and No 23 has thick glazing bars on its upper window. The doorways are centrally located, with a four-panelled door for No 23 and a six-panelled door for No 25. Both doorways have flat arches and flat hoods supported by brackets. Nos 11 to 25 (odd) form a group.
