Description
The Former Cattle Market Inn is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall. It features a tiled gabled roof with the gable end facing Eastgate Square. The structure is primarily made of red brick, with the east front facing Market Avenue being stuccoed. On the side that faces Eastgate Square, there are sash windows set in reveals with flat arches, complete with intact glazing bars and moulded frames. The first-floor windows are larger and have blinds. The ground floor includes small three-sided canted bays and a central doorway, which has been blocked up, along with a small fascia above.
