Description

The Parish Church of St Peter is a Grade II* listed building located on Westhampnett Road. This medieval church features a chancel, a north vestry, a nave with aisles, a tower at the east end of the south aisle, and a south porch. It is constructed from random rubble and has a tiled roof. The chancel dates back to the 11th century, the tower to the 12th century, and the nave to the 12th and 13th centuries. The north aisle, vestry, and porch were added in the 19th century, with restoration work completed in 1867. Inside, there is a monument to Richard Sackville and his wife, who both died in 1535.
