Description

The gate piers and wall at the entrance to Friary Close, dating from the 19th century, are constructed from knapped flint with brick quoins. There are four gate piers, each topped with stone capping that supports figures of birds, possibly eagles. The walls are approximately 7 feet high and made of stone rubble and flint, also featuring brick quoins and coping.
