Description

16 Northgate is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall and features two windows. It has a hipped slate roof and a small brick cornice with dentils at the eaves. The east front is cemented, while the north side is constructed from flint cobbles with brick quoins and dressings. On the upper floor, there are two sash windows set in reveals with flat arches. The ground floor has 19th-century shop windows on either side of a central doorway, which is complemented by panelled stall risers. The doorway and windows are flanked by pilasters with an entablature above.
