Description

1 Northgate is a 16th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features seven windows. The structure is primarily constructed of red brick, much of which has been renewed. On either side of the central window, there are three-light bay windows on all floors. Above the second floor, there is a cornice adorned with modillions, and a modern parapet sits above that. The sash windows are set in flat arches, with all glazing bars intact and rubbed brick voussoirs. Access to the building is via a porch that is reached by four steps, which is supported by Doric columns and features a pediment along with a semi-circular fanlight.
