Northgate Cottage is a 19th-century building, originally one storey with two windows. It is constructed of flints, formerly pointed, with a brick eaves cornice. The roof is tiled, and the glazing bars have been lost. The building forms part of a group with numbers 4, 5, 6, and 5A on Northgate.
