Description

No. 4 Northgate is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features one window. It is constructed of red brick, with the north-east side rebuilt in a replica style, while the original core remains behind. The building has a small cornice with modillions and a parapet. The windows are adorned with recessed strips on each side as dressings. The doorway is framed by Doric pilasters and a pediment, topped with a semi-circular fanlight, and features a six-panel moulded door. No. 4 is part of a group that includes Nos. 4, 5, 5A, and 6.
