Description
No 1 North Street is an early 19th-century building that stands four storeys tall. The ground floor features a plate-glass shop front and the exterior is finished in stucco. The building has two window bays on the south side facing the Cross, with one blocked opening on the second floor to the east. The windows are sash style, set in reveals with flat arches, although the glazing bars are missing. The window frames are moulded in stucco, and there is a rectangular pediment above the first-floor window to the east. A rounded three-light sash window is located on the corner, while a rounded window on the first floor has mouldings and a cornice beneath it. Additionally, there is one blocked window bay facing east, and the first-floor opening has a moulded stuccoed frame with a rectangular pediment above.
