Description

This is a row of early 19th-century terraced houses at 40-43 Cavendish Street. The building comprises two storeys and has one window bay for each house. The exterior is of red brick with grey brick headers laid in a contrasting pattern. The windows are sash windows with flush boxes, retaining their original glazing bars except for those in number 43. Upper windows are arched in a flat shape, while the lower windows have slightly segmental arches. The doorways also feature slightly segmental arches. The original front doors were six-panelled, with the top panels cut away and glazed, though some have been replaced with modern doors. Numbers 1 to 50 Cavendish Street are designated as a group.
