Description

This is a pair of early 19th century houses located on St Paul’s Road, immediately adjacent to number 38. They have hipped slate roofs and are constructed of flint with red brick quoins and dressings. The houses are two storeys high, with one window on each floor. A brick dentilled cornice runs below the eaves. The windows originally were sash windows; number 40’s are now lacking their glazing bars, while number 42 has modern casement windows with louvred shutters. Each house has a doorway with a flat hood, and both have modern doors.
