Description
A raised pavement dating to the 19th century stands in front of Tower House, incorporating iron railings. The pavement is constructed with a retaining wall of Purbeck stone, featuring Pulborough stone quoins and a limestone coping. The coping includes corbels designed to support the bracing members of the iron railings. Limestone paving forms the surface of the pavement. Flights of steps are located at either end of the pavement and opposite the porch of number 1 London Road. Iron railings are positioned around the entire perimeter.
