Description
Tower House and No 1, along with their railings, date from the early 19th century. The building was not present on a map of 1785 but is depicted in a drawing from 1823. It originally served as a Vicarage and is now divided into two terraced houses. Constructed from yellow brick, the building features ashlar dressings and a prominent ashlar tower at its east end. It comprises three storeys and a basement with a front garden area. The facade is punctuated by nine ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a four-centred arch with a hood mould. A porch is situated at the west end. The octagonal tower has a crenellated parapet and blind decorative panels on its north side. The east end of the tower features tripartite double-hung sash windows with intersected glazing bars. Iron railings enclose the front garden area and are topped with urn finials.
