Description

Aldwick Farmhouse is likely from the early 18th century, with subsequent alterations. The building combines a dwelling on the left-hand side and a barn on the right, unified beneath a single steep-pitched tiled roof. It is two storeys high. The farmhouse is constructed of roughly squared and coursed Bognor sandstone rubble, featuring wooden eaves and chimneys at the left end. There are two casement windows on the house's front, spaced widely apart, with a modern door positioned between them. A coach-house double door, situated within a cambered head, replaces the lower window on the right side. External wooden stairs provide access to the upper storey of the barn. A modern extension has been added to the left end (west) of the farmhouse.
