Description
Glengarry is a Grade II listed building located on Fish Lane in Aldwick. It is now a single residence formed from two units, the first being a free-standing oblong house on the right end, which is likely from around 1800. This house has two storeys and is constructed of cobbles and brick, featuring a steep tiled roof with gable chimneys. It has three casement windows that are not quite symmetrical, with the middle window being blind. There is a later glazed porch over the central doorway.
The second unit is a very small cottage that is attached to both neighbouring buildings. This cottage has one storey and an attic, made of coursed rubble and flint. It includes one casement window and a pentice dormer, with a door on the right side. This cottage may date from the early 18th century and has a slate roof. Glengarry, along with Thatched Cottage, Rose Cottage, and Richmond House, forms a group of buildings of group value.
