Description
No. 20 Southwick Street is a house that has been converted into an office. It dates back to the 17th century and is constructed of uncoursed flint with a red brick plinth band, quoins, and some patching on the first floor to the right. The building features a red brick eaves cornice and a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the right, with an end stack to the left and a larger ridge stack on the rear wing.
The house is two storeys high and has a slightly irregular three-window front. On the first floor to the right, there is one sliding casement window, while the other windows are 19th and 20th-century casements. The doorway is located to the left of centre, between the first and second windows from the left, and features a half-glazed door beneath a later 19th to early 20th-century pentice hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing made of flint below and brick above.
