Description
Rice's Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century. It features a timber frame set on a tall, whitewashed, rubblestone plinth. The upper part of the house has whitewashed brick infill above the exposed frame and is topped with a plain tiled, half-hipped roof. The building has two storeys and consists of five framed bays, with arched bracing visible on the first floor. There is a stack located to the right of the centre. The first floor has four diamond-pane, leaded casement windows, and there are four similar windows on the ground floor. To the left, there is a 20th-century panelled door that is accessed by a flight of five steps, which was recently restored at the time of inspection.
