Description
Nos. 3 and 4 Westbrook Green Cottages is a house that has been divided, dating from the 16th century on the right side and featuring a 17th-century cross wing on the left. The building is timber framed and clad in red and blue brick on the front right, with tile hanging over sand and pudding stone rubble on the left, and it has plain tiled roofs. It has a T-shaped plan with a gable end to the left and stands two storeys tall. There is a tall, multiple stack at the centre of the ridge on the right, with an additional end stack on the left.
The front facade is regular, featuring an outer arrangement of three 3-light casements flanking a central 2-light casement on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light casements with cambered heads, one on either side of a part-glazed door (No. 3). The left gable bay has one window on each floor, along with an additional ground floor casement in the pentice extension at the left end. There is also a door on the left-hand return front (No. 4). At the rear, the building has two gabled wings.
