Description

PEPWORTH ROAD 1. 5393 (North-East Side) Nos 10 and 12 SU 9032 NE 4/134 3.12.53. II GV 2. C18 building of 2 storeys, 5 windows in all. The windows of 2 left bays (No 10) are blocked and No 10 has main 4-window front on west return. Red brick of good proportions. Replaced sash windows in moulded architraves with triple keystones under gauged flat brick arches. String course; coved and moulded eaves cornice to hipped tiled roof. No 12 is a double span building of which the rear span, of coursed small malmstone, may be older. This has casement windows except for a tall C18 staircase sash window with glazing bars and a serpentine head. Road front similar to No 10 but retaining sash windows with glazing bars on 1st floor. C19 east extension. Several modern doors and bow shop windows inserted on ground floor.
