Description

Waverley Mill Cottage is a mid-18th century house, originally a mill house. It is constructed of whitewashed brick on a brick plinth, with red and blue brick return fronts, and tile hanging to the right-hand return front on the first floor. The roof is hipped and covered in plain tiles. The building is two storeys high, with two end stacks to the left and a larger end stack to the right. It has five bays, featuring a plat band above the ground floor. Five 18-pane glazing bar sash windows are present on the first floor, set in open boxes. Four windows with gauged brick heads are located on the ground floor. The central entrance features a six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed, sheltered by a hip-roofed hood supported by thin metal columns.
