Description

Sheephatch Farm House is a 17th-century house with 19th and 20th-century extensions. The house is timber framed, with the timber frame exposed on the south face, and has a brick and ironstone plinth. The upper part is tile hung, with herringbone brick infill. It has red and blue brick extensions to the rear, covered with plain tiled roofs, including a half-hipped roof over the rear wing. The building has a T-shaped plan. It is two storeys and has attics in the gable ends above a cellar. A large stack is located at the junction of the two main ranges. The former front of the house is now at the rear and features two three-light casement windows on each floor. A glazed door is located on the east return front, with a window on each floor above. Small pentice extensions are located to the sides of the rear wing, and a new entrance has been created in the gable end.
