Description
The gate piers and entrance gates to Crooksbury House were designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and constructed between 1898 and 1899. They feature red brick piers that stand approximately 7 feet high, set on moulded plinths with panelled sides and topped with moulded stone capitals. The wrought iron gates are elegantly designed, with double gates in the center that have scroll tops, flanked by side gates on either side, also topped with similar scroll designs.
