Description
The Town Hall, built in 1814, is a two-storey building located on High Street. It features three windows and was originally open on the ground floor, which was enclosed in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick with alternating grey headers and has a coved stuccoed eaves cornice. It has a hipped tiled roof and a small wooden cupola at the center that houses a bell. Both the north and south fronts have a pediment containing a clock face in the tympanum, with the central portion of each front projecting slightly below the pediment. The windows on the building are modern, and there is a portion that has been built out on the ground floor on the north side.
