Description

No 2 High Street, originally the Fox Inn, is a timber-framed building dating from the 17th century or earlier, which has been re-fronted. It stands two storeys high and features two windows. The building has a high-pitched tiled roof with a compound chimney stack on the left side. The first floor is tile-hung, mostly in a fishscale pattern, and has leaded casement windows. The ground floor showcases a picturesque double shop front from the early 20th century, set above a plinth made of large random rubble. There is some exposed framing with red brick filling on the west wall.
