Description
Cleeves is a house built around 1905, designed by the architect E J May. It is an irregular two-storey structure with four wide bays. The left bay features a hip-ended projecting wing that has a large chimney on the inner side and a quasi-Venetian window at the end. The house is constructed of light red brick with brighter red dressings. It has a high-pitched hipped roof covered with swept tiles, which includes gablets and tall brick chimneys. The right bay has a two-storey gabled porch that showcases timber-framing, bargeboards, and a pendant, along with an arch-braced open entrance beneath a cambered beam.
