Description

Anchor Cottage, likely dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, was formerly an inn. It is a two-story building with three windows. The center first-floor window has been blocked, retaining only a small light. The walls are painted brick, with a first-floor string course. A steeply pitched roof, finished with renewed machine tiles, tops the structure, and end chimneys are present. The cottage features large, modern three-light windows and a half-glazed central door protected by a cornice. Visible timber framing is present in the attic gable end. The building is listed partly for its group value.
