Description

7 and 8 The Wells are an 18th-century red brick house, now divided into two dwellings. The building is two storeys with an attic and basement, originally featuring four windows. The roof has been renewed with machine tiles and includes four modern dormers. A first-floor band runs along the facade. Some rebuilding of the upper wall at the front has occurred, and the entire right return has been rebuilt in brick that is not matching. Sash windows with glazing bars are present, with those on the ground floor set beneath gauged brick arches. The main entrance features a reproduction Georgian door and pedimented doorcase. A second reproduction door is located on the right return of number 7, with a cornice hood above it.
