Description

This is a late 18th-century house, now used as commercial premises, located on the north side of Godalming High Street. The building is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof. It has three storeys and three bays. An early 20th-century shop front features a recessed doorway with a tessellated pavement, corniced angle pilasters, and a fascia board beneath a deep, moulded cornice. The first-floor windows are four-pane sashes, while those above are six-pane sashes, all with projecting sills and flat brick arches with fluted keystones. A stepped dentil pattern is visible at the eaves, and the roof is a half-hipped mansard. Rear additions are not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
