Description
A water tower, opened in 1880 for the Frith Hill Godalming and Farncombe Water Company. It is constructed of coursed Bargate rubble stone with red-brick quoins, banding, and decorative elements. The tower is castellated and comprises two stages. The upper stage is square, with a corbelled central bow on each side. An octagonal stair turret is situated at the corner of the upper stage. The lower stage features a tall pointed arch on each side, with an impost moulding and a brick band rising as a hood over each arch. The upper stage has a single vent and a circular window in each bow. Ladders provide access to the upper stage.
