Description

Sturt Farmhouse is an 18th-century building in the shape of an inverted U. The front facing the main road has two storeys and two windows. It has a tiled roof with chimneys at each end. The first floor is tile-hung, with a decorative pattern of alternating plain and fishscale tiles. The ground floor is red brick, incorporating some blue headers. The windows are 20th-century casements with glazing bars, and those on the ground floor are set under segmental arches. A late 19th-century gabled porch, constructed of wood in a rustic style with trellis work, shelters the plain boarded front door. A lean-to extension is present to the left. The right-hand chimney projects outwards and includes offsets and a base of malmstone.
