Description
Hedge Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with 18th-century extensions at one end and 20th-century extensions at the rear. The building is timber framed, now positioned at right angles to the front, and is clad in coursed sandstone with brick angle quoins and dressings. The extension features coursed Bargate stone and tile-hung gables, topped with plain tiled roofs. The house has two storeys with gable-lit attics and a square ridge stack at the center. There are two leaded casements on the first floor and one window on the ground floor beneath a cambered head. Each gable end has one window on both floors. The entrance features a round arched panelled door set in a projecting round arched brick surround, complete with impost mouldings and a keystone. Additionally, there is a 20th-century round oriel window on the ground floor of the left-hand return front.
