Description
Smallbrook is a hall house with an early 16th century core that was refaced in the 17th century. It features a timber frame clad in sandstone rubble, with brick patching and dressings, and has a hipped plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a corbelled stack to the left of the center and another stack at the left end. On the first floor, there are two 3-light gabled casement dormers in the center and one 3-light window at each end. The ground floor has five irregularly spaced windows with cambered heads. There is a door to the left of the center, situated in a large open gabled porch that has arched entrances on the front and sides, complete with carved spandrels. Inside, some framing is visible.
