Description

This is a mid-18th century house, with a 20th-century wing added to the rear left. The house is constructed of red brick on a sandstone plinth, and has a hipped roof covered in plain tiles. It is two storeys high, with a decorative band of blue-grey brick headers above the ground floor and a moulded brick cornice at the eaves. The front facade is symmetrical, with three bays and stacks at the rear. There are three rectangular windows with 12 panes of glazing bar on the first floor, and one similar window on the ground floor to the right, set under a cambered head. A shallow, angled bay window is located on the ground floor to the left. The central entrance has a half-glazed door, sheltered by a flat hood supported on brackets. A parallel range extends to the rear, and a 20th-century extension is set back to the rear left, incorporating a porch.
