Description

Street House is an early 19th-century house situated on The Street in Thursley. The left side of the building is rendered with colourwashed incised stucco, while the right side is constructed of colourwashed brick. The house has a low-pitched, hipped roof. It follows an H-shaped plan, extending away from the street. The two storeys are punctuated by stacks located to the left and right of centre on the rear ridge. The first floor has two 16-pane glazing bar sash windows on the left side, and a single window on the right side in the projecting wing. The ground floor features one sash window on the left and a single cambered-head window on the left-hand return wall of the wing. A panelled door, with the top four panes glazed, is positioned to the right, set within a panelled reveal and a moulded surround embellished with angle paterae. It is flanked by attached half-columns of the Tuscan order, topped by an entablature and a dentilled flat hood.
